Custom tool development
Non-standard geometries, special edge preparations and dedicated grades are developed against your workpiece drawing. We work from the part, the operation list and your machine data, and design the insert so the tool fits the workpiece rather than forcing the workpiece onto a catalogue standard. Prototype edges are verified in our cutting laboratory before series supply.
Project package service
A project package takes a part from process analysis through to a working tool set: material and hardness assessment, grade and geometry selection, cutting data establishment, tooling supply, stock management and edge life monitoring.
Tool management
Tool management means treating the cutting tool set as a managed process rather than a reorder. Stock levels and edge life are tracked so that the customer's machine does not stop waiting for an insert.
What we need from you
To specify a package we need the workpiece material and hardness, the machine and its rigidity, the operations involved, target surface finish and tolerance, and current cycle time and tool cost if you have them.
